From the Sandia Peak Tramway, take NM-536 E for 1 mile. Turn left onto NM-165 N and follow it for approximately 4 miles. Look for signs indicating Kiwanis Cabin, which will be on your right. The parking area is available near the cabin. Note that there may be a small parking fee, so keep some cash handy.

Public Transportation and Hiking
Take the Sandia Peak Tramway to the top; this is a scenic ride with great views. Once you arrive at the upper terminal, you can find trail signs leading towards Kiwanis Cabin. It’s about a 1.5-mile hike from the tram station to Kiwanis Cabin. The trail is well-marked, but ensure you wear appropriate footwear and bring water. No additional costs for the hiking trail, but the tramway ticket is required.
