Car
From the Sandia Peak Tramway base station, head east on NM-536 E. Continue for about 6 miles until you reach the junction with NM-165. Turn left onto NM-165 and follow it for approximately 3 miles. Look for the trailhead parking area on your left (Rincon Peak Trailhead), where you can safely park your car. Please note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking ABQ RIDE Bus Route 2 from the Sandia Peak Tramway area towards the Albuquerque city center. Get off at the Central & 4th Street stop. From there, transfer to Bus Route 12, which heads towards the Sandia Mountains. Disembark at the nearest stop to NM-536, and from there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to the Rincon Peak Trailhead. Be aware that public transport schedules vary, so check the ABQ RIDE website for the latest timings.

Hiking
After parking at the Rincon Peak Trailhead, follow the Rincon Peak Trail, which is well-marked. The hike to the peak is about 2 miles one way. Be prepared for a moderately challenging trail, with some steep sections. Make sure to carry enough water and snacks for the hike, as well as appropriate hiking shoes.
