Getting There

Car
From the Sandia Peak Tramway base station, head east on NM-536 E. Continue for about 6 miles until you reach the junction with NM-165. Turn left onto NM-165 and follow it for approximately 3 miles. Look for the trailhead parking area on your left (Rincon Peak Trailhead), where you can safely park your car. Please note that there may be a parking fee, so be prepared with cash or a card.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking ABQ RIDE Bus Route 2 from the Sandia Peak Tramway area towards the Albuquerque city center. Get off at the Central & 4th Street stop. From there, transfer to Bus Route 12, which heads towards the Sandia Mountains. Disembark at the nearest stop to NM-536, and from there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to the Rincon Peak Trailhead. Be aware that public transport schedules vary, so check the ABQ RIDE website for the latest timings.
