If you are driving, start from downtown Santa Fe. Head north on St. Francis Drive (US-84) and continue until you reach the junction with NM-599. Take NM-599 North towards Los Alamos. After about 12 miles, take the exit for US-84/285 North towards Española. Continue for approximately 15 miles, then take the exit for NM-503 towards the Santa Fe National Forest. Follow NM-503 for about 10 miles until you reach the Chamisa Trailhead parking area, located on the right side of the road. Make sure to have a National Forest Pass, which can be purchased online or at the local ranger station.
