To reach the Madrid Old Coal Town Museum from Santa Fe, start by heading to the Santa Fe Depot located at 120 S. Guadalupe St. Take the NM Rail Runner Express train towards Belen. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Madrid station. From the station, head north on NM-14 for about a quarter mile; the museum will be on your left at 2846 NM-14 Building #1.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Santa Fe. Start your journey by heading to Cerrillos Road and follow it south until you reach NM-14. Once on NM-14, continue south for about 20 miles. The Madrid Old Coal Town Museum will be located at 2846 NM-14 Building #1 on your left.
