From downtown Santa Fe, find the nearest bus stop for the Santa Fe Trails system. You can catch the Route 1 or Route 2 bus. Ask the driver for the stop near W Alameda St. Once you get off, walk towards W Alameda St and head west; the Santa Fe River Park West will be on your right.

If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Santa Fe. Head west on W San Francisco St, then turn right on Old Santa Fe Trail. Follow this road until you reach W Alameda St, and then turn left. The Santa Fe River Park West will be on your right side.
