Car
If you are driving from the center of Shiprock, head east on US-491 N. Continue on US-491 N for approximately 40 miles until you reach the intersection with CO-172. Take a left onto CO-172 and follow this road for about 25 miles. You will then merge onto US-160 E. Continue on US-160 E for about 20 miles until you see signs for Mesa Verde National Park. Follow the signs into the park, and then take the Mesa Top Loop to reach the Square Tower House.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Shiprock to Farmington. Once in Farmington, transfer to a Greyhound or local shuttle service that heads towards Cortez, Colorado. Upon arriving in Cortez, you can take a taxi or rideshare to the entrance of Mesa Verde National Park. Once inside the park, follow the signs to the Mesa Top Loop to reach the Square Tower House.
