From Whiteface Mountain, take NY-86 East toward Wilmington. Continue on NY-86 for about 6 miles. You will see signs for Sentinel Range Wilderness. Turn left onto Route 431 (Whiteface Mountain Veterans Memorial Highway) and follow the road until you reach the entrance to the wilderness area. Note: There is a toll fee of approximately $15 for using the highway.
