Public Bus
From downtown Albany, walk to the nearest bus stop for the CDTA (Capital District Transportation Authority) buses. You can catch the #10 bus towards 'Berkshire Boulevard'. Make sure to board the bus at the stop located at the intersection of State Street and Pearl Street. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes, and get off at the 'Berkshire Boulevard and Colonie Road' stop. From there, walk east along Berkshire Boulevard for about 0.5 miles, and you will reach Buckingham Lake Park, which will be located on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike through a local bike-sharing program or use your own. Start from downtown Albany and head south on South Pearl Street until you reach the intersection with I-787. Then, take a right onto Madison Avenue and continue until you reach the intersection with New Scotland Avenue. Turn left onto New Scotland Avenue and follow it until you get to the intersection with Berkshire Boulevard. Turn right onto Berkshire Boulevard, and Buckingham Lake Park will be on your right after about a mile.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can start from the Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany. Head southwest on State Street towards Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and continue walking until you reach the intersection with New Scotland Avenue. Turn right onto New Scotland Avenue and follow it until you reach the intersection with Berkshire Boulevard. Turn left on Berkshire Boulevard and walk approximately 1.5 miles; Buckingham Lake Park will be on your left side.
Rideshare
If you prefer a more direct option, you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and enter 'Buckingham Lake Park, 39 Berkshire Blvd, Albany, NY 12203' as your destination. The driver will pick you up from your current location and take you directly to the park.
