Bus
To reach the Butterfly Conservatory from downtown Buffalo, take the NFTA Metro Bus #40 which travels towards Niagara Falls. Board the bus at the nearest Metro station, or at a designated bus stop. The bus will take you directly to Niagara Falls. Once you arrive at the Niagara Falls bus terminal, transfer to the WEGO bus service (Green Line) that goes to the Butterfly Conservatory. After boarding the WEGO bus, stay on until you reach the 'Butterfly Conservatory' stop. The conservatory is located at 2565 Niagara River Parkway, a short walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
If you prefer to bike, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Buffalo. You can follow the scenic bike paths along the Niagara River. Start at the Erie Basin Marina and head north following the river. You will eventually connect to the Niagara River Recreation Trail. Continue along the trail until you reach the Butterfly Conservatory at 2565 Niagara River Parkway. The ride is approximately 20 miles and may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace.
Walking
Walking directly from Buffalo to the Butterfly Conservatory is not practical due to the distance (approximately 20 miles). However, if you are staying in Niagara Falls, you can walk to the conservatory. Starting from the Niagara Falls State Park, head east along the Niagara River Parkway. Follow the signs for the Butterfly Conservatory, which is about a 30-minute walk from the park. The path is scenic and allows you to enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
