Start at the Buffalo Metro Rail Station (Main Street). Take the Metro Rail to the Allen/Medical Campus Station. From there, transfer to the 8 Elmwood Avenue bus heading south. Get off at the stop at Elmwood Avenue & Delaware Avenue. Walk to the nearby 20 Delaware bus stop and board the 20 bus towards Orchard Park. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the Orchard Park stop at the intersection of Quaker Road and South Buffalo Street. From there, it's approximately a 1.5-mile walk to the Eternal Flame Hiking Trail entrance. Follow Quaker Road south, then turn right onto South Buffalo Street, and continue straight until you reach the entrance to the trail.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Buffalo. Start at the Buffalo Outer Harbor and take the scenic bike path south along the waterfront. Follow the path to South Park Avenue, then turn right onto South Park Avenue heading west. Continue to Lake Avenue, then take a left onto Lake Avenue heading south.
