Public Transit
From downtown Buffalo, head to the nearest NFTA (Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority) Metro Bus station. Take the #40 bus towards Niagara Falls. After about 30-40 minutes, get off at the Niagara Falls Boulevard & 104th Ave stop. From there, transfer to the #50 bus heading towards Niagara-on-the-Lake. Ride for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the stop at Lakeshore Rd & Line 1. After disembarking, walk west on Lakeshore Rd for about 10 minutes, and you will reach Hinterbrook Estate Winery at 1181 Lakeshore Rd.
Bicycle
If you're comfortable biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Buffalo. Start from the Buffalo waterfront and head towards the Niagara River Greenway Trail. Follow the trail north towards Niagara Falls. When you reach the Niagara Parkway, continue following it until you approach Niagara-on-the-Lake. Keep an eye out for Lakeshore Rd. It will take about an hour to an hour and a half to bike to Hinterbrook Estate Winery.
Walking
Walking all the way from Buffalo to Hinterbrook Estate Winery is a long trek and not advisable due to distance (approximately 20 miles). However, if you're adventurous, you can take a bus to Niagara Falls and then walk along the scenic route on the Niagara Parkway, which leads you into Niagara-on-the-Lake. It would be best to break this journey into segments, using public transit to cover the longer distances.
