Walking
From the Canalside area, head east on Main Street. You will walk along the waterfront, enjoying views of the canal. Continue walking for about 15-20 minutes until you reach Lafayette Square at 415 Main St, Buffalo, NY 14203. The square is located in Downtown Buffalo and is easily recognizable by the surrounding historic buildings.
Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer not to walk, you can take a bus from Canalside to Lafayette Square. Head to the nearest bus stop which can be found near the KeyBank Center. Look for the NFTA Metro Bus routes. You can take the Metro Bus R1 or R2 towards Downtown Buffalo. The fare is $2.00 per ride, and you can pay with cash or a Metro Card. Get off at the Lafayette Square stop, which is a short walk from your destination.
Biking
For those who enjoy biking, you can rent a bike from a nearby bike-sharing program available in Canalside. Head east along Main Street towards Lafayette Square. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Make sure to follow bike lanes and traffic rules. Once you arrive, you can secure your bike at one of the bike racks available around the square.
