Walking
If you're starting from the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library located at 1 Lafayette Square, head south on Lafayette Square toward W Genesee St. Continue straight onto S Elmwood Ave, then take a left onto W Huron St. Walk until you reach the waterfront, then follow the path along the water until you see signs for Canalside. This walk will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
Public Transit (Bus)
From the Seneca One Tower at 1 Seneca St, walk to the nearest bus stop at Main St & Seneca St. Take the NFTA Metro Bus Route 5 (Elmwood) heading south. Get off at the Canalside stop. The bus fare is $2.00, and the ride takes about 10 minutes.
Biking
If you have a bike, you can ride from the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center located at 153 Franklin St. Head west on Franklin St, then turn left onto W Tupper St. Continue until you reach the waterfront bike path. Follow the path south towards Canalside. This route is approximately 1.5 miles and will take around 10 minutes.
Ride-Sharing (e.g., Uber, Lyft)
For a more direct and convenient option, you can request a ride-share service. Use the app to set your pickup location from any point in Downtown Buffalo and enter 'Canalside, 44 Prime St, Buffalo, NY 14202' as your destination. The fare varies based on your location, but expect to pay around $5-$10 for a short ride.
