If you're traveling by car, head towards downtown Albany. Use I-787 if you're coming from the north or south. Take exit 3 for Washington Ave and follow the signs to the Empire State Plaza. Once on Washington Ave, look for the signs directing you to the Corning Tower, which will be located at 1415 Corning Tower # 1415, Albany, NY 12237. There is limited street parking nearby and also parking garages available in the area, which may incur a fee.
Public Transportation (CDTA Bus)
To reach Corning Tower via public transportation, you can take the CDTA bus. Routes 10, 11, 12, and 13 all stop near the Empire State Plaza. Check the CDTA website for the closest bus stop to your location. Once you get off at the Empire State Plaza stop, follow the signs to the Corning Tower entrance. The bus fare is typically around $1.75, and it’s recommended to have exact change or a bus pass.
Walking
If you’re already in downtown Albany, the Corning Tower is within walking distance from many local attractions. From places like the New York State Capitol, head south on State Street, then take a left on Eagle Street. Continue on Eagle Street until you reach the Empire State Plaza. The Corning Tower will be on your right. This is a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the architecture of the area.
