From any location in the Catskill Mountains, take Route 28 towards Phoenicia. If you're coming from the north, simply follow Route 28 south. If you're coming from the south, follow Route 28 north. Once you reach Phoenicia, look for Woodland Valley Road. Turn onto Woodland Valley Road, and continue for about 2.5 miles. Slide Mountain Wilderness is located at 455 Woodland Valley Rd, Phoenicia, NY 12464. There is a parking area available for visitors. Note that parking may incur a fee, so be prepared with cash.
