Car
If you are driving to Wanatonka Island, start from the town of Catskill. Head north on Main St (NY-23) from the center of Catskill. Continue straight for about 1 mile. You will arrive at the entrance of Wanatonka Island, located at 1 Main St, Catskill, NY 12414. Please note that parking availability may vary, so look for nearby parking lots or street parking.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the CDTA bus (Route 20) from various points in the Catskill Mountains to the Catskill station. Once you arrive at the Catskill station, it's about a 15-minute walk to Wanatonka Island. Head east on Main St from the bus station and continue for about 0.7 miles until you reach 1 Main St. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for return trips.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, the ride from the Catskill town center to Wanatonka Island is approximately 1 mile. Follow Main St (NY-23) heading north. The route is fairly flat and bike-friendly. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local bike laws. There's limited bike parking at Wanatonka Island.
Walking
If you are within walking distance in Catskill, you can easily walk to Wanatonka Island. Simply navigate to Main St (NY-23) and head north for about 1 mile. The walk will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Ensure you stay on the sidewalks for safety.
