Car
If you're driving to Wells Falls from anywhere in the Finger Lakes region, head towards Ithaca, NY. Use Route 13 or Route 96 depending on your starting point. Once you reach Ithaca, follow signs to Six Mile Creek. The falls are located in a park area near the creek. Make sure to park in designated areas, as roadside parking may be limited.
Public Transportation
To reach Wells Falls via public transportation, take the Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit (TCAT) bus service. Depending on your starting location in the Finger Lakes region, you can catch routes that lead to Ithaca. From downtown Ithaca, take a TCAT bus that goes towards the Six Mile Creek area. You may need to walk for about 10-15 minutes from the nearest bus stop to reach the falls. Check the TCAT website for current schedules and fares.
Walking
If you're already in the Ithaca area, you can walk to Wells Falls from downtown. The falls are approximately a 30-minute walk from the center of town. Head south on State Street, then turn onto Cascadilla Street and follow the signs towards Six Mile Creek. The walk is scenic, but be prepared for some uneven terrain as you approach the falls.
