Getting There

• Car

  From major cities in Hudson Valley, such as Poughkeepsie or Beacon, take Route 9D south toward West Point. When you approach the United States Military Academy, look for signs directing you to the visitor parking area. After parking, you will need to walk to the visitor center where you can catch a shuttle boat to Constitution Island. The shuttle service typically has a fee of around $10 per person for a round trip.

  Take the Metro-North Railroad from various stations in Hudson Valley (like Poughkeepsie or Beacon) to the Garrison station. From the Garrison station, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to the United States Military Academy.
