Experience Olana State Historic Site

Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Hudson, head east on Warren Street towards the river. Continue straight until you reach Front Street, then turn right. Walk along Front Street until you reach the intersection with Route 9G. Cross the street carefully and continue walking north on NY-9G. The Olana State Historic Site is about 2.5 miles from the center of Hudson. Look for the entrance on your left, marked clearly with signage.

  • Biking

    If you have a bicycle, start from the Hudson waterfront and ride east on Warren Street. Follow the same route as walking by turning right onto Front Street. After reaching NY-9G, turn left and continue biking north. The Olana State Historic Site will be visible on your left after approximately 2.5 miles. Be cautious of traffic on Route 9G.

  • Public Transportation

    From Hudson, walk to the nearest bus stop on Route 9G. Take the Columbia County Public Transit bus that heads north towards the Olana State Historic Site. Confirm the bus schedule in advance as it may not run frequently. Disembark at the stop closest to the site. From there, follow the signs to Olana, which is a short walk away.
