Car
From Hunter Mountain, head south on NY-23A. Continue for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with NY-214. Turn left onto NY-214 and continue for about 2 miles. Look for signs directing you to the Devil's Path Trail and Prediger Trail Head Road. Turn right onto Prediger Trail Head Road. Follow this road until you reach the parking area at the trailhead. Note that parking may have a fee during peak seasons.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Catskill Mountain Shuttle from Hunter Mountain to Tannersville. From Tannersville, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Prediger Trail Head Road. Confirm with the driver that they can take you to the trailhead as it is a less common destination. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance as it may vary depending on the season.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Hunter Mountain and take the same route as you would by car. Head south on NY-23A and follow the directions to NY-214 and Prediger Trail Head Road. The ride is approximately 7 miles and can take about 30-45 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
