Walking
If you are starting in Lake Placid Village, head southeast on Main Street toward Park Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Saranac Avenue. Turn right onto Saranac Avenue and walk straight for about 0.5 miles. You will reach a fork; stay right to continue onto Route 86 East. After a short walk, you will arrive at the Saranac Lake Village, where you will see signs for the Adirondack Carousel. The carousel is located at 2 Depot St, Saranac Lake, NY 12983.
Public Transportation
From Lake Placid, you can take the local bus service operated by the Adirondack Transit. Board the bus at the designated bus stop on Main Street near the Post Office. Ensure you select the route heading towards Saranac Lake. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Saranac Lake, disembark at the stop closest to Depot Street. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to the Adirondack Carousel located at 2 Depot St.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Lake Placid. Start your ride by heading southeast on Main Street toward Park Avenue. Once you reach the intersection with Saranac Avenue, turn right and follow Saranac Avenue until it merges with Route 86 East. Continue straight for about 2 miles until you reach Saranac Lake. The Adirondack Carousel is located at 2 Depot St; you can park your bike at the designated bike racks nearby.
