Turn left onto NY-86 and follow it for approximately 8 miles. You will be passing through scenic areas, so enjoy the views! Once you reach Wilmington, look for signs indicating Flume Falls. The entrance will be on your right. Follow the path to the falls.

If you are comfortable biking, rent a bike in Lake Placid and head north on Main Street. Continue until you reach the intersection with NY-86. Turn left onto NY-86 and follow the road for about 8 miles. The ride features beautiful landscapes and is relatively flat. Keep an eye out for signs for Flume Falls as you approach Wilmington, and look for the entrance on your right.
