Getting There

  • Train

    Take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from your starting location in Long Island to Huntington Station. Once you arrive at Huntington Station, exit the train and head towards the main street (New York Avenue). Walk north on New York Avenue until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Prime Avenue. From there, turn right onto Prime Avenue. Heckscher Park will be on your left at the intersection with NY-25A.

    Check the Suffolk County Transit Bus schedule for a bus route that goes to Huntington. A common route is the S1 bus, which travels along Route 110. Get off at the stop nearest to Huntington Village. From there, walk north on New York Avenue until you reach Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and walk to the intersection with Prime Avenue. Turn right on Prime Avenue, and Heckscher Park will be on your left at the intersection with NY-25A.
