Car
If you are driving to Orient Beach State Park from the western parts of Long Island, take the Long Island Expressway (I-495) eastbound. Continue on I-495 until you reach Exit 70 for NY-27 E towards Riverhead. Merge onto NY-27 E and follow it until you reach the traffic circle. Take the second exit onto NY-25 E and drive towards Greenport. After approximately 10 miles, turn right onto Main Rd (NY-25). Continue on Main Rd for about 8 miles until you reach the park entrance at 40000 Main Rd, Orient, NY 11957. Parking is available on-site, but there may be a small entrance fee for vehicles.
Public Transport
To reach Orient Beach State Park using public transportation, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from your nearest station to either the Ronkonkoma or Patchogue station. Board a train heading towards Greenport. Upon arrival at Greenport station, you can take the Suffolk County Transit Bus (Route 1) towards Orient. The bus will stop near the park entrance.
