Public Transit
To reach the Central Library at 10 Grand Army Plaza, Brooklyn from Yonkers, start by heading to the Yonkers Metro-North Train Station. Purchase a ticket for the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Board the train and ride for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the 125th Street Station in Harlem, Manhattan. Here, transfer to the A or C subway line at the 125th Street station. If you take the A train, head downtown towards Far Rockaway and get off at the 59th Street - Columbus Circle station. If you take the C train, head downtown towards Euclid Avenue and change at the 8th Avenue station to the A train, heading downtown. Continue on the A train until you reach the Jay St - MetroTech station. From there, transfer to the R train and ride to the Court St station. Exit the station and walk towards the Brooklyn Bridge. Continue walking until you reach Grand Army Plaza, where the Central Library is located.

Bus
From Yonkers, you can take the Bee-Line Bus #1 or #5 to the White Plains Bus Terminal. Once at the terminal, transfer to the Bx12 bus heading towards the Bronx and get off at the 149th Street and Grand Concourse stop. From there, transfer to the 2 or 5 subway line towards Brooklyn and get off at the Brooklyn College - Flatbush Avenue station. Finally, transfer to the B41 bus that will take you directly to Grand Army Plaza, where the Central Library is situated.
