    Walking

    From the center of Poughkeepsie, head towards the Poughkeepsie Train Station located at 41 Main St, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601. Once you reach the station, take the Metro-North train on the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. The ride to Beacon takes approximately 25 minutes. Upon arrival at Beacon Station, exit the station and turn left onto Main St. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Route 9D. Turn right onto Route 9D and continue walking for about 1 mile until you see the signs for Casino Trail. Follow the signs to the Beacon Overlook.

    Public Transit

    Start at the Poughkeepsie Train Station, located at 41 Main St, and take the Metro-North train on the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. The train ride to Beacon Station will take approximately 25 minutes. After arriving, get off the train and head left onto Main St. Walk straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 9D. At the intersection, turn right and walk about 1 mile following the signs to Casino Trail, which leads to the Beacon Overlook.
