Walk to the Poughkeepsie train station located at 41 Main St. Take the Metro-North Railroad train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Rhinecliff station. From there, you can catch a taxi or rideshare service to Hyde Park, which is about a 10-minute drive from the station. Alternatively, you can walk to the nearby bus stop and take a local bus to Hyde Park.
Biking

Start from the Walkway Over the Hudson State Historic Park entrance at 61 Parker Ave. Follow the greenway north along the river, which will take you into Hyde Park. It's about a 7-mile bike ride and should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

If you're feeling adventurous and up for a longer walk, you can set out on foot from downtown Poughkeepsie. Head north on Main St until you reach the intersection with Route 9. Follow Route 9 north towards Hyde Park. The walk is around 5 miles and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Make sure to stay on the sidewalk and cross at designated crosswalks.
