Train
Start at the Poughkeepsie train station. Board a Metro-North train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Beacon station, which is approximately a 20-minute ride. Once you arrive at Beacon station, exit the platform and head left onto East Main Street.
Walking
From East Main Street, continue walking until you reach the intersection with Route 9D. Turn right onto Route 9D and follow it for about a mile. The Breakneck Ridge Trailhead will be on your left. Look for signs indicating the trail entrance.
Bus
Alternatively, from the Poughkeepsie train station, you can take the Dutchess County Public Transit bus. Look for the Route 5 bus heading towards Beacon. Get off at the stop nearest to Route 9D and East Main Street. From there, follow Route 9D as described above.
