Getting There

• Car

  From any location in Hudson Valley, take the nearest route to Route 9. If you're coming from the north, head south on Route 9. If you're coming from the south, head north on Route 9. Exit onto NY-199 towards Red Hook. Follow NY-199 until you reach the intersection with River Road. Turn left onto River Road and continue straight for approximately 2.5 miles. Poets' Walk Park will be on your left at 776 River Rd, Red Hook, NY 12571. There is no entrance fee for the park.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take the Metro-North Railroad from your location in the Hudson Valley to the Rhinecliff station. From Rhinecliff, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Poets' Walk Park. The taxi ride will take approximately 15 minutes and may cost around $25. Alternatively, check local bus schedules as some routes may provide access to Red Hook, but be prepared for a longer travel time and limited frequency.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can bike along the scenic routes in the Hudson Valley. The park can be accessed via local roads, particularly from the villages of Red Hook and Tivoli. From Red Hook, head north on Route 9, then follow the signage to River Road. The park is about 2.5 miles from the center of Red Hook. Remember to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.

• Walking

  If you're staying nearby in Red Hook, you can walk to Poets' Walk Park. From the center of Red Hook, head south on Main St, then take a left onto NY-199. After about 0.5 miles, turn left onto River Road. The park entrance will be on your right after approximately 1 mile. This walking route is approximately 1.5 miles and offers a scenic view of the surrounding countryside.
