Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from central locations in The Hamptons, such as East Hampton Village, head east on Main Street towards NY-27. Merge onto NY-27 E and continue for about 6 miles. Take the exit for Cedar Point Road, then turn left onto Cedar Point Road. Continue until you reach the end of the road where you will find Cedar Island Light. Please note that parking may be limited, so plan accordingly.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Cedar Island Light via public transportation, start by taking the Hampton Jitney or Long Island Rail Road to East Hampton. From the East Hampton train station, you can take a taxi or rideshare service directly to Cedar Point Road. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes. Take note that taxi services may incur additional costs, and it’s advisable to confirm the fare beforehand.

• Walking

  If you are already in East Hampton and prefer walking, you can walk to Cedar Island Light from the village. Head east on Main Street, then take Cedar Point Road.   For those looking to bike, you can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in East Hampton. Follow Main Street to Cedar Point Road. The total distance is about 2 miles, and the bike ride should take roughly 10-15 minutes, depending on your pace. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local biking laws.
