If you're driving from any location in The Hamptons, take NY-27 W (Sunrise Highway) towards Riverhead. Continue on NY-27 W for about 25 miles until you reach the exit for NY-24 N towards Riverhead. Merge onto NY-24 N and continue for about 5 miles until you reach the intersection with E Main St. Turn right onto E Main St, and after about 1 mile, you will see Long Island Aquarium on your left at 431 E Main St, Riverhead, NY 11901. Parking is available on-site, but there may be a fee.

Public Transportation - Train
To reach Long Island Aquarium via public transport, take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) from any station in The Hamptons (for example, Westhampton or Southampton) to the Riverhead station. The train ride typically takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Riverhead station, you can either take a taxi or rideshare service to the aquarium, which is approximately 3 miles away. Alternatively, you can walk if you prefer a scenic route, which takes about 30-40 minutes.

You can also take the Suffolk County Transit bus service (S92 or S94) from various points in The Hamptons to Riverhead. Check the schedule for the latest departure times. Once you arrive at the Riverhead bus terminal, Long Island Aquarium is about a 1-mile walk down E Main St. Follow E Main St for about 20 minutes to reach your destination. Make sure to have some cash or a transit card, as bus rides may incur a fare.
