From the center of Montauk, start at the Montauk Train Station on Edgemere Street. Head southeast on Edgemere Street until you reach South Edison Street. Turn left onto South Edison Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Montauk Highway (NY-27). Turn right onto Montauk Highway and proceed for about 1.5 miles. Look for a bike lane on your left. Continue on Montauk Highway until you reach the entrance to Napeague State Park, which will be on your left. The park entrance is located at Lazy Point Rd, Amagansett, NY 11930.

Public Transit
From the Montauk Train Station, take the Suffolk County Transit Bus Route 10 towards East Hampton. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the stop at Lazy Point Road. Once you get off, walk a short distance along Lazy Point Road to reach the entrance of Napeague State Park. The park entrance is just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you are starting from the Montauk Village area, you can walk towards the beach and follow the coastal path. Walk towards the Montauk Point Lighthouse and continue along the beach path for approximately 2.5 miles. Once you reach the end of the beach, you will see the signs for Napeague State Park. Follow the path up to Lazy Point Rd, Amagansett, NY 11930, where the park entrance is located.
