If you are driving from the Thousand Islands area, start by getting onto NY-12 E from your current location. Follow NY-12 E for approximately 10 miles until you reach the town of Alexandria Bay. From Alexandria Bay, take the Thousand Islands Bridge to cross into Canada. After crossing the bridge, continue on the ON-401 W highway. Take exit 648 for ON-416 S towards Ottawa. Merge onto ON-416 S and continue for about 30 miles. Then take exit 66 for ON-2 E toward Gananoque. Follow ON-2 E for about 12 miles until you reach Gananoque. From Gananoque, take the ferry to Bostwick Island. The ferry ride typically costs around CAD 10 per person and runs every 30 minutes.

To reach Half Moon Bay via public transportation, first take a bus from Thousand Islands to Kingston. You can catch the bus from the main terminal in Alexandria Bay. The bus service usually takes about 1 hour and costs approximately USD 15. Once you arrive in Kingston, take a local bus or taxi to Gananoque. From Gananoque, you will need to take the ferry to Bostwick Island. Be aware that ferry tickets cost around CAD 10 per person and operate every 30 minutes.
