Car
If you are driving from Alexandria Bay, head southwest on NY-12E. After approximately 12 miles, take the exit for NY-81S toward Watertown. Continue on NY-81S for about 5 miles and take exit 50 for NY-180 toward the Thousand Islands Bridge. Follow NY-180 for about 6 miles, then turn left onto Cross Island Road. Continue on Cross Island Road for about 2 miles, and you will arrive at Waterson Point State Park, located at 44927 Cross Island Road, Fineview, NY 13640.

To reach Waterson Point State Park via public transportation, start by taking a bus from Alexandria Bay to Watertown. Look for the bus service operated by Jefferson County Public Transit. Once you reach Watertown, transfer to the bus heading towards Fineview. Get off at the nearest stop to Cross Island Road. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile along Cross Island Road to reach the park entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may vary.

For those who prefer cycling, you can take a scenic ride from Alexandria Bay. Start by heading southwest on NY-12E and then take NY-81S. Once you reach the turnoff for NY-180, follow that road and then turn left onto Cross Island Road. This route is approximately 20 miles and offers beautiful views of the Thousand Islands area.
