Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading south on N Franklin St from the center of Watkins Glen. Continue straight onto S Clute Park Dr. In about 0.5 miles, you will reach Clute Memorial Park & Recreation, located at 155 South Clute Park Drive. There is ample parking available within the park. Note that there may be a small fee for parking during peak season, so be sure to bring some cash just in case.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check with local bus services such as the Schuyler County Transit. You can catch a bus that travels towards Clute Park, but be sure to confirm the schedule in advance as it may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the nearest bus stop, it is a short walk of about 0.3 miles south to reach Clute Memorial Park & Recreation. Follow the signs towards South Clute Park Drive, and you will find the entrance to the park.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, there are bike paths available from various points in Watkins Glen. Start at the central park area and head south towards S Clute Park Dr. The ride is approximately 1 mile and should take about 5-10 minutes. Once you reach the park, there are bike racks available for secure parking. Make sure to wear a helmet and obey local cycling laws.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, Clute Memorial Park is accessible on foot from downtown Watkins Glen. Starting at the corner of N Franklin St and E 4th St, walk south on N Franklin St, which turns into S Clute Park Dr. It is approximately a 20-minute walk (1 mile) to the park entrance. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, and be sure to wear comfortable shoes.
