    Train

    From White Plains, head to the White Plains Metro-North Station located at 1 Railroad Avenue. Purchase a ticket for the 2 or 3 train towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey takes about 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, transfer to the 4 or 5 subway train towards Brooklyn. Get off at the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station, then switch to the 2 or 3 subway train towards New Lots Avenue. Exit at the Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum Station. From there, it's a short walk to Central Library, located at 10 Grand Army Plaza.

    Bus

    Catch the Westchester County Bee-Line Bus #60 from the White Plains Bus Terminal (located at 11 Ferris Avenue) heading towards New Rochelle. Get off at the last stop, then transfer to the MTA bus B49 towards Prospect Park. Ride for several stops until you reach the Grand Army Plaza stop. Central Library will be right near the plaza at 10 Grand Army Plaza.

    If you are staying in downtown White Plains, you can enjoy a scenic walk to the train station. Head south on Main Street toward Martine Avenue, then turn left onto Martine Avenue.
