Public Transit (Bus)
From downtown White Plains, walk to the White Plains TransCenter located at 11 Ferris Avenue. Look for the Bee-Line Bus number 20 or 60 heading to New York City. Board the bus and enjoy the ride. Once you reach the stop at 42nd Street and 8th Avenue in Manhattan, disembark. From there, you can take the subway by following the signs to the 1, 2, or 3 trains at the Times Square-42nd Street subway station. Take the subway to 42nd Street and Times Square and transfer to the 7 train towards Flushing. Get off at the 5th Avenue station and walk to The Mall located at 5th Avenue and 59th Street.
Train
Head to the White Plains Metro-North train station located at 1 Railroad Avenue. Purchase a ticket for a train heading to Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit. From there, you can either walk or take the subway. If you choose to walk, head east on 42nd Street towards 5th Avenue, then turn left and walk north until you reach The Mall at 5th Avenue and 59th Street.
Walking
If you're already in the vicinity of downtown White Plains, you can start by heading towards Main Street. Walk east on Main Street and continue until you reach the White Plains Metro-North station. From there, follow the instructions for taking the train to Grand Central Terminal. Alternatively, if you're feeling adventurous, you can make a long walk to the bus stop at the TransCenter and take the Bee-Line Bus.
