Getting There

    From Whiteface Mountain, head south on Whiteface Mountain Rd towards NY-86. After about 9 miles, turn left onto NY-86. Continue for approximately 6 miles until you reach Lake Placid. Once in Lake Placid, take a left onto Timber Lane. The High Peaks Wilderness area will be on your right after about 1 mile. Make sure to check for parking areas near the trailheads.
