Bus
From Yonkers, head to the nearest Metro-North train station, which is Yonkers Station. From there, take the Metro-North train towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the last stop and transfer to the Staten Island Ferry at Whitehall Terminal. Take the ferry to Staten Island, which offers beautiful views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. Once you arrive at Staten Island, exit the ferry terminal and head to the bus stop for the S51 bus. Take the S51 bus towards Rosebank and get off at the stop for Hylan Blvd. The Alice Austen House is a short walk from the bus stop, located at 2 Hylan Blvd.

Start at the Yonkers train station and take the Metro-North train to Grand Central Terminal. Once at Grand Central, follow the signs to the 1 train subway line. Take the 1 train downtown to South Ferry Station. After exiting the subway, walk to the Staten Island Ferry terminal. Board the ferry to Staten Island. Upon arrival, exit the ferry terminal and look for the bus stop for the S52 bus. Board the S52 bus towards St. George and get off at Hylan Blvd. Walk a short distance to reach Alice Austen House, located at 2 Hylan Blvd.
