From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North train station located at 1 Alexander Street. Take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Grand Central Terminal stop. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit. After exiting, walk to the 42nd Street-Bryant Park subway station and take the B or D line towards Brooklyn. Get off at the West 4th Street station. Finally, transfer to the A or C line and take it to the Chambers Street station. From there, walk south on Church Street until you reach the World Trade Center area, then head east towards the Battery Park area where Castle Williams is located. This landmark is situated on Governors Island, which can be reached via ferry from Battery Maritime Building (10 South Street).

From anywhere in Yonkers, locate the nearest Bee-Line Bus stop. Take the Bee-Line Bus route #1 towards White Plains. Get off at the last stop, White Plains Metro-North train station. From there, board a train on the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, transfer to the MTA subway system. Walk to the 42nd Street-Bryant Park subway station and take the B or D line towards Brooklyn. Get off at West 4th Street and transfer to the A or C line, heading towards Chambers Street. Exit the subway and walk south on Church Street to reach the Battery Park area where you can find the ferry to Governors Island.

If you are already in downtown Yonkers, start at the Yonkers City Hall located at 40 South Broadway. Head south on South Broadway until you reach Main Street. Turn right on Main Street and walk towards the Hudson River waterfront. Continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the Yonkers Metro-North train station. From there, take the Metro-North train to Grand Central Terminal. Upon arrival, transfer to the subway system and follow the directions provided above to reach Castle Williams on Governors Island.
