Getting There

Public Transit - Bus
From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Bus Terminal located at 1-99 New Main St, Yonkers, NY 10701. Take the BxM4C bus towards Manhattan, which departs every 30 minutes. Ride the bus for approximately 30-40 minutes, and get off at the 5th Ave/E 65th St stop. From there, walk east on E 65th St until you reach the entrance of Central Park, then walk south within the park until you find the Central Park Zoo.

Public Transit - Train
Make your way to the Yonkers Metro-North train station located at 1 Alexander St, Yonkers, NY 10701. Board a southbound train on the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and take the 4, 5, or 6 subway train from the Grand Central–42nd St station towards Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. Get off at the 59th St-Lexington Ave station, then walk west on E 59th St until you reach Central Park. The zoo is located at the southeast corner of Central Park.

If you are in central Yonkers, you can walk to the Central Park Zoo by heading southeast towards the Hudson River. Follow the waterfront path until you reach the Yonkers Metro-North train station. From there, you can take the aforementioned public transit options. However, if you prefer to walk, it's best to take the 1.5-mile route through downtown Yonkers to the nearest Metro-North station, which will connect you to Manhattan.
