Start at the Yonkers Metro-North Railroad Station. Board the Hudson Line train heading south towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 10 minutes, disembark at the 125th Street station in Harlem. From there, transfer to the 4 subway line (green line) towards Woodlawn. Ride for about 5 stops and get off at the 170th Street station. Once you exit the subway station, walk west on 170th Street towards Shakespeare Avenue. Turn right onto Shakespeare Avenue and continue walking for about 5 minutes until you reach the Shakespeare Steps at 1161 Shakespeare Ave, Bronx, NY 10452.

From the Yonkers Public Library, walk to the nearest bus stop on Riverdale Avenue. Take the #1 bus towards Riverdale. After about 25 minutes, get off at the stop at Shakespeare Avenue.
