Subway
From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Station located at 1 Main St, Yonkers, NY. Take the Metro-North Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. It usually takes about 30 minutes to reach Grand Central. Once at Grand Central, follow the signs to the subway and take the 4 or 5 train downtown towards Bowling Green. Get off at Bowling Green Station, which is the closest subway station to The Battery.
Bus
From Yonkers, you can take the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards White Plains. Get off at the White Plains Metro-North Station. From there, take the Metro-North Railroad train to Grand Central Terminal. Once at Grand Central, transfer to the subway and take the 4 or 5 train towards Bowling Green. Get off at Bowling Green Station, which will bring you close to The Battery.
Walking from Bowling Green Subway Station
After you exit the Bowling Green Station, walk towards the southern end of the park. Head south on State Street towards the waterfront. The Battery is located at the southern tip of Manhattan, right by the water, offering stunning views of the harbor and the Statue of Liberty.
