    Getting There

    Subway

    From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North station. Board a southbound train on the Hudson Line towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the 125th Street station in Manhattan. Once you arrive, transfer to the A or C subway line at 125th Street station. Take the A or C train downtown to 42nd Street - Port Authority Bus Terminal. From there, transfer to the 8th Avenue subway line and take the A, C, or E train to West 4th Street. Finally, exit the subway and walk east on West 4th Street until you reach 6th Avenue, then turn left and walk north to St. Marks Place. The William Barnacle Tavern will be on your right at 80 St Marks Pl.

    Bus

    From Yonkers, find your way to the Yonkers Transit Terminal. Take the Bee-Line Bus #1 or #2 towards the Bronx. Get off at the last stop, which is the Bronx Terminal Market. From there, transfer to the Bx19 bus heading towards Manhattan. After about 20 minutes, get off at the stop for 125th Street and 1st Avenue. From here, you can catch the M15 or M60 bus towards downtown. Take this bus and get off at the stop at 1st Avenue and 14th Street. Walk east to Avenue A and then head south to St. Marks Place. The William Barnacle Tavern will be located at 80 St Marks Pl on your left.

    Walking

    If you're already in downtown Yonkers, you can opt for a longer walk. Head south along the Hudson River waterfront towards the Yonkers Pier. Once you reach the waterfront, follow the path towards the south until you reach the Yonkers Metro-North station. From there, follow the subway guidance above, or if you prefer to walk, continue along the Hudson River and cross over to the Bronx, then navigate through the streets to reach Manhattan. This is a scenic route but will take several hours, so plan accordingly.
