Subway
If you're starting from Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North Station. Take the Hudson Line train heading towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the Grand Central Terminal station. From there, follow the signs to the 42nd Street/Times Square subway station and take the 1 subway line (red line) towards South Ferry. Ride for about 10 stops and get off at the Rector Street station. Once you exit the station, walk east on Rector Street for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection of Vesey Street, where the Eleven Tears monument is located.

Begin your journey at the Yonkers Transit Center. Board the Bee-Line Bus #1 towards the New York City Subway at 242nd Street. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes until you reach the last stop at the 242nd Street subway station. From there, take the 1 subway line (red line) towards South Ferry. Get off at the Rector Street station, which is approximately 10 stops away. After exiting the subway, walk east along Rector Street for about 5 minutes until you reach Vesey Street. The Eleven Tears monument will be right in front of you.

If you’re already in downtown Yonkers, you can take a leisurely walk. Start at the Yonkers Riverfront Library and head south on Warburton Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and walk until you reach the Yonkers Metro-North Station. From there, take the Metro-North Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal and follow the subway instructions as mentioned earlier. Alternatively, you can walk to the Yonkers Transit Center and catch the bus to New York City.
