From Rotorua, you will need to take State Highway 38 towards Murupara. Te Urewera is located to the northeast of Murupara, so you will need to follow the signs and directions to reach the destination. The drive from Rotorua to Te Urewera takes approximately 2-3 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a bus from Rotorua to Murupara. From Murupara, you can either hire a taxi or arrange for a shuttle service to take you to Te Urewera. It is recommended to book these transportation options in advance, as they may not be readily available on demand. The bus journey from Rotorua to Murupara takes around 1-2 hours, and the additional transportation from Murupara to Te Urewera may take another 30 minutes to 1 hour.
