From Napier, take State Highway 2 (SH2) heading south. Continue on SH2 for approximately 70 kilometers until you reach the town of Wairoa. Once in Wairoa, turn onto State Highway 38 (SH38) towards Te Urewera National Park. Drive for about 24 kilometers, then turn right onto Aniwaniwa Road. Follow Aniwaniwa Road for approximately 3 kilometers, and you will reach Aniwaniwa Falls. Parking is available near the falls.

From Napier, take a bus to Wairoa. Buses operated by InterCity run regularly between these two locations. Once you arrive in Wairoa, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Aniwaniwa Falls, as public transport options are limited beyond Wairoa.
