    From the Auckland Central Business District (CBD), head to the nearest bus stop at Victoria Street West. Catch the bus route 18 towards Glen Innes. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the stop at 'The Strand, Onetangi'. From the bus stop, it’s a short walk to Onetangi Beach. Just follow The Strand directly to the beach.

  • Ferry

    Make your way to the Auckland Ferry Terminal located at 99 Quay Street. Purchase a ticket for the ferry to Waiheke Island. Once you arrive at the Waiheke Island Ferry Terminal, head to the bus stop right outside the terminal. Catch the bus route 2 towards Onetangi. After about a 20-minute bus ride, get off at the 'The Strand, Onetangi' stop. Walk straight along The Strand to reach Onetangi Beach.

  • Walking

    If you are near the CBD, you can take a scenic walk to Onetangi Beach. Start at Aotea Square and head down Victoria Street, then continue along the waterfront path towards the Auckland Ferry Terminal. From there, take the ferry to Waiheke Island as described above. Once on Waiheke Island, either walk to the bus stop or continue walking along the coastal path to reach Onetangi Beach.
