Start at the Gisborne i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 100 Bright Street. Exit the centre and head east on Bright Street towards the intersection with Aitken Street. Turn right onto Aitken Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Stout Street. Turn left onto Stout Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Childers Road. Turn right onto Childers Road and continue walking straight for about 1 km. You will reach the roundabout; take the second exit onto the Main North Road. Continue straight until you see Clifford Street on your right. Turn onto Clifford Street, and Cedar House will be on your left at number 4.

Begin at the Gisborne i-SITE Visitor Centre at 100 Bright Street. Catch the local bus service from the nearest bus stop located on Bright Street. Check the bus schedule for the next bus heading towards Whataupoko. Get off at the 'Whataupoko' stop. Once you disembark, walk back a short distance to Clifford Street. Cedar House is located at 4 Clifford Street, just a few minutes' walk from the bus stop.
