If you are starting from the Hamilton city center, head east on Victoria Street towards Hood Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Grey Street. Turn left onto Grey Street and continue until you reach the river. Cross the river using the bridge at the end of Grey Street. Once across, follow the path along the riverbank heading south. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach Hungerford Crescent. Turn right onto Hungerford Crescent and continue for a short distance until you see the entrance to Te Parapara on your left.

From the Hamilton city center, you can take the bus route that goes towards Hamilton East. Look for bus stops near the Hamilton Transport Centre. Board a bus heading to 'Hungerford Crescent' or any bus that passes by the area. The journey should take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Hungerford Crescent. From there, walk a short distance along Hungerford Crescent, and you will find Te Parapara on your left.
